Blackhawk Engineering was founded in 1974. We started out with a highly skilled workforce that specialized in the design and build of fixtures and tooling for a variety of customers in the Industrial and Agricultural markets.

Over the years we began machining small service parts orders for our customers. In 1984 we were able to take advantage of the trends in outsourcing to establish ourselves as a preferred machining source for production parts. By 1987 the production machining business had grown enough that we opened our second facility to handle our specialty business. Our competitive price, focus on the customer, and ability to assist our customers with cost effective designs fueled a growth rate that has allowed us to have two more expansions. The machining of complex, tight tolerance production parts is now our primary business.

Our quality takes a back seat to none. In 1989 we became the first certified machining source to a large Agricultural customer. Since that time we have routinely attained the highest quality rating from all of our customers. We are ISO 9002 certified and have been since 1999.
